Meet Dr. Graydon Carr

I love being an orthodontist. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people, and the friendships that I’ve built with my patients and their families are one in a million. It has always been my focus to make each patient feel at-home when they come to me for treatment and I work hard to give my patients the attention they deserve.

Education/Experience

I'm a graduate of the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. I graduated with an orthodontic specialty certificate and master’s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Orthodontic Residency program. After graduation, I moved back to California and began developing my skills in private practices in the greater Sacramento area.

After graduation I made the decision to test for my board-certification with the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). A board-certified orthodontist, also known as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, has been voluntarily examined by his or her peers on the basis of knowledge and clinical skills. Becoming board certified signifies the orthodontist's pursuit of continued proficiency and excellence in orthodontics. I obtained my board certification in 2020. 

Now, by regularly participating in continuing education, I am able to stay current on the latest technology and orthodontic treatments. My patients deserve the best, and continuing education allows me to provide them with more options and better results. I am a member of several professional associations that provide me with opportunities for continuing education.

Commitment to Community

I am truly blessed to live and work in such a wonderful community. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families, and it is always such an honor to know that I have made a difference in so many of my patients’ lives.

Growing up in a large Italian family, I learned how important it is to have a strong support system which begins at home. My free time is spent raising my two daughters, Jordyn and Blake, alongside my wife and college sweetheart, Shelby. Shelby and I have been together since 2010. We enjoy getting out of the house to explore different areas of our Chico, trying new restaurants, and sight-seeing.

My family and I love to spend quality time walking through downtown Chico and learning the culture and meeting people. We frequently visit the surrounding areas and look forward to continue immersing ourselves in our community as the years go by. When we are able to travel, we enjoy going back to Gilroy to spend time with our loved ones, and relaxing at our favorite beach destination Capitola, CA.
